Minority and OBC Cell

The minority and OBC cell is dedicated to providing a facility that supports diversity and respects everyone, regardless of color, religious belief, or culture, and is also committed to ensuring the protection of everyone, including minorities, and acting in accordance with the provisions of the Indian constitution in such matters. It is constituted to offer extra support to students from Other Backward Classes. The cell supports students from Other Backward Classes (OBC) to pursue higher education by providing scholarships and other forms of assistance. The cell assists students with their educational and co-curricular activities.

Objectives :

• To enhance equity in minority education.
• To facilitate financial assistance from governmental agencies and other sources for students from minority communities.
• In order to ensure that the reservation policy is effectively implemented in admission.
• In order to ensure that OBC students have equal educational opportunities.
• To provide financial assistance from the Central and State governments to OBC students.
• To serve as a Redressal Cell for OBC students' and to assist them in resolving academic, research, and administrative issues.

Activities :

• To disseminate decisions made by the State Government and the UGC about different scholarship initiatives.
• To encourage students to think about their future plans.
• To accumulate reports and information on the Government of India and UGC directives on different areas of OBC education, training, and employment.
• The Minority and OBC cell assists students and professors from minority religions such as Christian, Muslim, Jain, and others, as well as other OBC categories, with their spiritual needs and academic growth.
• To facilitate Namaz facilitiesfor Islam faculty members and students.
