The Department has highly experienced and motivated faculty members who are in the process of tuning the young minds to make them globally competitive. The strength of the department is the highly motivated
students who want to understand and upgrade their knowledge and skills. The scope of Physics is endless.
Depending upon the interest of the students, he/she can choose higher studies or if employed can be engaged
in research, development, design, production, application, testing or in the administration. By working
one-toone with faculty and carrying out experiments in the laboratory, students understand the most
important concepts in physics, such as the nature of subatomic particles and the evolution of the universe etc. The analytical skills they develop will enable them to become good researchers in future. Upon completion
of the programme, the graduates shall pursue M. Sc. Physics and enter research programme in DRDO, ISRO, IISc,
IIT or else complete B. Ed and enter teaching position in schools. Research and Development sectors in many
industrial processing units recruit physics graduates at various positions in their industries. Physics graduates
can also enroll for MCA & MBA programmes.
