The Department of UG Computer Science was established in the year 1997, with 12 years of successful completion and student strength of about 390. A band of dedicated and resourceful teachers prepare the students to fit into the modern IT environment. Excellent infrastructure and Library are available.. Many students are placed in reputed organizations like Infosys, Wipro, CTS, TCS, HP, Tech Mahindra, Reliance, Apnomic Systems, Mahindra Satyam etc. The Department has done exceedingly well since its inception. The main objective of the department is to develop competent professionals. The department possesses a core team of competent faculty and well equipped laboratories with state of the art equipment The programmes offered by the department provide solid technical background and real time experience with the employability skills on tools to handle the most demanding aspects of information systems.

GIST Magazine
Objectives:
The magazine becomes a forum for knowledge sharing between students and faculties.
The Magazine aims at promoting quality and value based education by motivating the skills of students, creating awareness on the future trends of software industry and familiarizes the students to face interviews with buoyancy.
About GIST:
During Association Inauguration and Valedictory functions, twice in a year the GIST Magazine is published by the students Association CAST of UG Computer Science.
The staff advisors and Student Editors will be appointed every year.
