'NOT ME BUT YOU'

The NSS of STC is vibrant with its activities each day.

The details­:-

•  21.05.08 to 23.05.08 employment exchange camp for higher secondary students was organized and 2506 candidates registered their names with mark sheets etc.,

•  Five days, 06.06.08 to 20.06.08 -special spot employment registration camp was conducted for  10th standard students with the help of the district employment office for 2642 students.

•  Three days - 21.06.08 to 23.06.08 - Child labour census programe was conducted by NSS.  350 students participated. They  covered 39 Panchayaths and 1 municipality.

• 07.07.08 NSS arranged for world population day in our college on 20.08.08 and 300 students   participated.

• NSS celebrated Sadbhavava day pledge in our college on 20.08.08 with 300 students participated.

• NSS conducted a programme with Dr. S. Ramakrishnan, Pollachi Cardiac Centre, Pollachi on 25.08-08 and he explained the importance of helmet wearing and traffic awareness of the public. He also explained the uses of internet and cell phones.

• On 11.12.08 -100 students participated in census taking of child employment at Zaminuthukuli and Suleswaranpatti.

• 15.10.08 NSS organized blood-grouping camp in the college and blood grouping was done for 572 first year students.

• 16.10.08 NSS organized blood donation programme and 116 unit of blood was donated.

• On 18.10.08 as per the instruction from Bharathiar University, NSS conducted "Art of Living programme" and 250 students participated.

• Mrs. S. Vaideeswaran, field worker of Red Ribbon Club, Bharathiar University conducted a seminar on the topic "AIDS awareness to the society" for the benefit of the students of STC.

• From 03.01.09 to 10.01.09 seven days special camp was conducted at S. Malayandipatnam.

• On 27.07.09 NSS organized blood donation programme and 53 unit of blood was donated.

• On 27.02.09 RRC meeting was conducted and prizes were awarded to winners of Elocution and drawing competitions.

• On 01.04.09 Rs.1000 was collected and donated to Indian Association for the Blind.
