Extra-curricular activity (ECA) or Extra-academic activity (EAA) sets the tone of Campus Life at Sree Saraswathi Thyagaraja College (STC). The College aims to provide holistic learning in campus involving curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The college has installed many avenues for students to hone their passions, improve their creative abilities and develop their interpersonal skills. It also allows the students to network, represent STC, and become engaged in service activities both on-campus and off-campus.

The Extracurricular Activities Committee ensures that students utilize the installed resources for their benefit to explore and develop extracurricular skills outside the curriculum to help students build a holistic career and to build a nation with well-balanced technical skills, creative skills, and soft skills such as communication skills, teamwork, public speaking, and emotional intelligence, etc

The College has been organizing various extracurricular activities under NSS, NCC, YRC, and Student Clubs for the overall development of the students.

The main objectives are
1.     To provide opportunities for the students to participate in activities as an extension of the academic activities.
2.     To inculcate good governance and develop skills through teamwork and organizing various activities and camps.
3.     To promote active interest and role in the civic, cultural, social, and moral welfare of the communities thereby demonstrating good citizenship.
4.     To organize various cultural activities in an academic year as per the Academic Calendar printed in the Year Handbook.
5.     To encourage students to join various clubs and coordinate student clubs and activities.
6.     To Plan and organize various activities on behalf of NSS/NCC and encourage students/staff to participate in NSS, NCC, Blood donation camps, flood relief camps, etc.
7.     To suggest methods that encourage students and faculty to utilize sports and games facilities available in the college.
8.     To select teams to represent the college in inter-collegiate and intramural tournaments.
9.     To help students prepare Annual Reports for sports, cultural, and other activities
10.  To increase the cordial relations between students and faculty by organizing exhibition games between the teams of students and faculty wherever possible.
